Refugee Quota

Research Project

Rachel Matthewman is a third year student at Ara Polytechnic doing a research project on students from Japan and China to discover whether they change their learning styles once they begin studying in New Zealand. PhD scholarship/studentship associated with the National Science Challenge – A Better Start project.

‘A Better Start: E Tipu E Rea’ National Science Challenge is a New Zealand-wide research project investigating the impact of culturally responsive literacy, health, and well-being interventions to improve outcomes for children from vulnerable communities. Researchers in this project are seeking an appropriate candidate to undertake work in the area of emergent bilingualism and digital technologies with vulnerable children, in the eastern communities of Christchurch.

New Publication Out
